Pao Xiang Bah Kut Teh started in Klang back in the year 2000 with a small stall that can sit up to thirty (30) diners at once. They heavily differentiated themselves from other bak kut teh brands by focusing on a technique called string tied method where the pork if tied together with a cotton string to keep its shape and texture. Business has since grown both locally as well as internationally going into China, Thailand, and Singapore.
Needless to say, Pao Xiang Bah Kut Teh serves delicious string tied pork as they (there are a few types) are the signature dishes there. They also have pig tendon, pork belly, soft bone meat, pork ribs, etc. But it is not just the bak kut teh that is delicious. Pao Xiang Bah Kut Teh also serves very delicious sea cucumber in bak kut teh soup dish, and delicious abalone in bak kut teh soup dishes. They were introduced to me at the Pao Xiang Bah Kut Teh outlet in Sunway Velocity Mall, Kuala Lumpur.
